Wellcome Back chiropractic clinic is a friendly place where clients can relax.
Having recently opened her new Wellcome Back chiropractic clinic, Rebecca Johnson, a fully qualified and registered McTimoney Chiropractor, British Wheel of Yoga teacher and natural movement lover invited me in for a visit. I went along for a chat but came away with food for thought!
It’s a great time to visit as Rebecca is currently offering new patients a half price deal for initial one hour consultations.
Situated in Chedworth House on Lansdown, it’s right in the heart of Stroud. It’s also on the ground floor and close to disabled parking which, as Rebecca points out, can be a great relief to those suffering with pain.
I discover that Rebecca has completed further training in Diversified Technique, applied kinesiology and is currently working her way through a pain science course and natural movement seminars.
She explains what is really exciting about being in practice is seeing people get motivated to improve their health beyond reducing pain and symptoms but really grasping that often pain is more than a ‘stuck joint’. She says, “I am a great believer in ‘homework’, including the standard exercises and yoga positions, which are really beneficial, it is so useful to find the ‘thing’ that will help that person get up and moving.”
The clinic is comfortable and I’m finding Rebecca very welcoming. She explains that your initial session is an hour in order to gain all the medical history, history of your aches and pains, orthopaedic/neurological testing and, if appropriate, give treatment and exercise/movement advice. Then follow up sessions are 30 minutes to allow plenty of time for review, treatment and further exercise/alignment and movement advice.
Rebecca tells me that she set up Wellcome Back Chiropractic Clinic in Bromley 15 years ago but only began the clinic in Stroud in October 2019.
“My husband and I had been looking to get out of southeast London for years but had never really found ‘the place’. That was until someone mentioned Stroud. As we investigated it looked like a great fit. We spent one night here and in that moment my husband and I realised we had found the place we wanted to live, work and raise our family. People here are so friendly and the countryside is stunning.”
Book now for only £30 (normally £60). Follow-up half hour appointments are £42. Saturday morning and evening appointments up to 7.30pm are available and you can book easily online 24 hours a day at
